Application for leave to remove
By definition, our Family team frequently deals with very sensitive cases, many involving the welfare of children.
In one recent case we advised a mother, domiciled in Europe, who wished to remove her 10-year old twins from the jurisdiction of England and Wales to a European country.
The mother was keen to pursue business opportunities and build a life for her family overseas, but this went against the wishes of both the children and their father, her former husband.
With our advice and support, she presented very detailed information about her plans relating to the welfare, residence and education of the children, and the plans to ensure frequent contact between the children, their father and their friends in the UK. The application was successful and she was able to move abroad with her children.
